She's so High- Everclear

Bones watched him move about the crew in the mess hall, laughing and joking. His smile quite literally lit up the room. Bones couldn't have stopped falling for him anymore than he could have stopped the weather. He loved his perfect captain more than anything, but that was all he allowed himself.

After all, what the hell could an old, borderline alcoholic doctor offer someone who was like a Greek god? No, he would watch from afar and dream little dreams, but he would never know the joys of his touch. The completion that man could give his heart. He was too high above him for that.

Finally Jim sat in front of him, with that thousand watt smile glowing his way. "How's my favorite CMO today?"

The smile always made his heart stop, but he answered as expected. "Still wondering what the hell I'm doing on this metal death trap in the middle of nothing."

Jim laughed. "Aw Bones, its not that bad, you've got me to keep alive and that's a worthwhile challenge if I ever did know one."

Bones snorted into his cup. "I don't know about worthwhile, masochistic maybe."

Jim laughed and grinned. "Come on you know ya love me!"

Bones sighed inwardly. Yes, yes he did. But he was so high above him….

Sooner or Later- Breaking Benjamin

Bones hid behind a wall and listened to Jim and Spock argue. He could hear the pain in Jim's voice and the unrelenting calm in Spock's. Soon Bones heard Spock's departure. He could hear Jim finally give into the tears, punching the wall as he cried. Bones peaked around and found him sliding down the wall.

Bones wished he had the right to comfort the man; to wipe away the tears, but he knew it wasn't his to give. Jim was with Spock and Bones was just his best friend. He felt his own eyes tear up, but he refused to let them fall.

Jim and Spock had been arguing a lot lately. He knew because Jim sought him out after every one. He knew that it was slowly wearing his captain out and that he was growing weary of the fighting.

Sooner or later he knew that Jim would stop loving Spock, that he would hate him for it.

And sooner or later Bones would have his chance to win his captain's heart. He just had to let Spock throw their life together away first. Straightening himself, he walked away, heading towards his office, where he knew Jim would be soon to lament over the latest quarrel. And if Bones played the devil to get his way then so be it. Spock really was a green-blooded hobgoblin.

Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off- Joe Nichols

There was a reason Jim didn't go out drinking with Bones anymore. They just stayed in their rooms. It really was a clever discovery he had made. Genius really, he thought grinning.

Having Bones branch out from beer and bourbon was the best idea he ever had.

You see: Bourbon and beer made him grouchy.

Whiskey got him into fights.

Vodka made him sing; very loud and boisterous.

But Jim's favorite was tequila. He smiled thinking about it. Tequila was the best.

Cause tequila made Bones's clothes fall off.

There Goes My Life- Kenny Chesney

Walking his baby down the aisle was the hardest thing Leonard McCoy had ever done. It meant way too many things to him. It meant someone else was going to be her number one. That she wouldn't come to him when she needed help. His baby, his life was leaving him.

He handed her off to her husband with a look that said it all about treating her like the queen she was and finalized it with, "Her father gives her."

He sat down and let the tears behind his eyes fall. His princess looked so happy and he hoped that look never left her face.

"She's not deserting you Bones." Jim, his lover said beside him holding his hand.

"There goes my life Jim. My baby's leaving me." He rasped.

"You still got me Len, I'm not going anywhere."

Bones just squeezed his hand as the happy new couple kissed.
