Prologue
A bright flash of light lights up a pale grey cave. In front of this light, stood a short-haired ginger tom. He blinks his bright green eyes and stares at the light in curiosity. The tom blinks his eyes a couple of times, waiting for the light to go dim. Suddenly, the tom can make out the shape of something.
It was an object. It towered over the cat, and seemed like it was five cats high. The tom stepped forward and sniffed the object. The object buzzed, and an opening spread open. A black she-cat steps out. Her eyes glow silver and trusting.
"I see this one has stumbled upon my creation." The she-cat meowed. The tom widened his eyes. A… dream, this is a dream… The tom's thoughts echoed. The she-cat tilted her head.
"Do not be frightened I am Ni-736. I have created this beautiful new life… introduce yourself, please." Ni-736 commanded.
"I- I am Firestar, leader of Thunderclan, wh- what is this… object?" Firestar asked. Ni-736 blinked her mysterious eyes. They seemed to be a vivid match of the color that stains the object.
"You are a cat with worries, worries from your past. This past was saddening to its beholder. You, your past, is what I need to test my creation, you can change that past, change it if you wish." Ni-736 said. Firestar looked from the she-cat to the object.
"It's impossible to change my past… what happened was done." Firestar murmured. Ni-736 snickered.
"That was everyone's reality for a while, until I decided to take it a step forward. You see, my future is your past, your past, altered, is my future." She sniffed. "Please, don't be shy, step into my creation, think of you past… the sorrowful things… negativity…" Ni-736's voice echoed through the cave. Firestar gulped. Could be real, could be… a dream, so if it's a dream, which it most likely is, everything will be okay… right? Firestar thought to himself.
"Tell me, what can this 'creation' of yours change?" He asked, turning his head to Ni-736.
"My child... my creation… my future… my past… my present…" Ni-736 said slowly. Firestar looked at Ni-736 and then to the object.
"I will test this 'creation' of yours." Firestar stated boldly. "Just promise me, everything will be the same after I have finished toying with whatever this is." He stared into Ni-736's eyes. Ni-736 snickered softly.
"I cannot make such promises that have absorbed your mistakes." She said more seriously. Firestar felt a shiver crawl down his spine. "Tell me, Firestar, does the name Spottedleaf sound familiar?" Ni-736 asked with a glint in her eye. Firestar's fur bristled. He looked at Ni-736 with his eyes wide.
"Y- Your 'creation', can it allow me to see her?" Firestar stammered, his breathing beginning to quicken.
"Yes, you just have to think of certain memories for the 'effect' to work, and maybe, seeing this cat can be changed into being with this cat…" Ni-736 smiled. "Now, will you try my child, or what?" Firestar bit the bottom of his lip. He hesitated at first, but then stepped into Ni-736's 'creation'. "Think of certain memories…" Ni-736's words rang through Firestar's mind as he stepped into the object. My past… Spottedleaf… when we first met… before her incident… when she was with Thunderclan… Firestar's thoughts raced. Firestar suddenly felt relaxed, and he was swarmed by light.
A/N: Sorry it was such a short prologue, it's just the beginning. Oh, and when and if anyone reviews, it would be nice NOT to see criticism... please, if you don't like it then don't read it. You don't have to stomp on someone's hopes.
