Everyone was leaving the conference room leaving a lone blonde in his seat.
"They never notice me…"
"Who are you?" The small polar bear in his arms asked, looking up at him.
With a sigh he stood, not bothering to answer the creature. Leaving himself he headed to the hotel he was staying at with his brother. They were in Germany for the World Conference, and Ludwig was nice enough to put them up in a nice hotel. He didn't get to stay with the only person who noticed him though due to Arthur, Alfred's boyfriend of a few years staying with him. Matthew sighed again, he was sick of being overlooked. Nothing he did was ever good enough.
Spotting a familiar mop of brown hair he called out to the man, smiling at him.
"Italy!"
The small brunette turned, confused.
"Hello." He said for the sake of being polite.
Matthew smiled widely and jogged to the man's side.
"How are you?"
"Uhm…I'm alright. And you?"
The smile fell from his face as Matthew sighed.
"You don't know who I am, do you?"
Feliciano smiled sheepishly.
"No…I can't say I do…I'm sorry."
"I'm Canada." Matthew said turning to walk away.
Retreating to his room he quickly dove into the bed, not paying attention to Kumajiro who curled up at the foot of the bed. He was beginning to get depressed, it was getting worse everyday. He wondered, could nations die? Was it possible to kill ones self? As he was thinking all of this his door opened and a weight was pressed against his bed. Suddenly he was being gathered into strong ams, bundled into the blankets still. Poking his head out of his caccoon he was met was a white shirt clad chest. Following the body up he was met with bleu eyes identical to his own.
"Alfred…what are you doing here?" He asked, his voice softer than his already soft tone.
"I was worried about you. You didn't look so good when we all left. And you looked even worse when you came into your room." Alfred said softly, stroking his brothers' hair. Matthew felt tears pricking at his eyes, someone had actually noticed him?
"You actually noticed me?"
Alfred gave a soft smile, kissing his brother's forehead.
"Of course I did, you're my brother and I love you."
Matthew smiled and hugged his brother tightly, happy someone would always be there to notice him.
