(A/N) Here's a new fic I'm starting. I'm not sure if I will continue it. It just depends on my mood and the response I get from posting this fic. So enjoy.

Rainy Days

By Sang H.

It was a gray day. The atmosphere seemed to cry in misery and tears fell from the bleak heavens. Everywhere, on the streets, in the café, people minded their own business, hurrying into their cars so they could drive home, where everything was warm and welcoming. Apart from the passing cars and sounds of footsteps on the pavement, it was a quiet day.

Sakura stood alone under the Sakura tree, shielded from the light rain. Her eyes passed over the people in the café across the street. Inside, orange light glowed from lamps and a couple smiled at each other, holding hands. Sakura half wondered to herself if she'd ever have that someone special to hold her and make her feel like every day is heaven. Sighing, Sakura crossed the street and turned the corner past the café...

And bumped right into a hurrying man.

"Watch your step little girl." A voice scolded. It seemed to laugh at her, a deep laughter.

Sakura waited until she gained her balance before frowning at the man staring down at her. He had deep amber eyes that were solemn but held intense warmth. His russet bangs were dripping wet, but hung over his eyes quiet handsomely. His charismatically chiseled face was so enthralling that Sakura finally dropped her frown and sighed.

"Do I really look that small?" she asked him.

He stared at her, as if caught off guard by the inquiry and studied her before answering.

"Yes, you do... however, only at first glance. Sorry for the mistake Miss..."

"Kinomoto, Sakura"

"Kinomoto-san." He finished.

"Sorry about bumping into you. I should have been paying attention to where I was going. Daijoubu ka?" Sakura asked, observing the nameless man curiously.

"I'm quite alright. And, I was in a bit of a hurry. So bumping into you was half my fault as well." He smiled sheepishly before checking his watch for the time.

"Ah, I really should get going, Kinomoto-san."

Sakura nodded in understanding. "I hope you won't be late for wherever you're going."

The man only grinned at her before turning the corner. Sakura then continued to walk on before it dawned on her. "I never caught his name..."
