Carlos 'CJ' Jeanson sat in his office, filling out order forms for new firearms. He filled out the last one, then leaned back and sighed. The small lamp on his desk flickered, showing signs of dying. He ran his aged hand through his greying hair and looked around his tiny workspace. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw something shoot across the back wall. He looked behind him, but saw nothing.

"I gotta be losing my friggin mind." he mumbled as he set to piling up the forms and stuffing them in an envelope. The lamp flickered once more, then went out. Something flew out of the darkness and started shredding Carlos. A scream erupted through the division, but no one was there to hear it.

Two Days later.

As Trinity Maxwell pulled into the parking lot of the Oklahoma Police Department, she saw an ambulance roar up behind her and a few parimedics run into the building. She jumped out of her car and ran over to her fellow collegue, Neil Santoro, who stood outside the door.

"What happened, Neil? Why are the medics here?" she asked hurriedly. Neil just turned around, a grim expression on his face. Trinity made a confused look at him as he started to speak.

"D-dad's.d-dead, Trin." he stuttered, going pale and sitting on the bench beside the large steel doors. Trinity gasped and sat beside him, thinking. Everyone in the Department called Carlos 'Dad', because he was the Chief of the station.

"How? I mean, he looked fine when we left on Friday." she mumbled, putting her head in her hands. She sighed heavily and watched as the medics pulled a stretcher out of the Police Department. Neil had closed his eyes, so it seemed like he wasn't going to talk anymore. She walked over to the nearest medic and asked, "Can I.see him?" The man nodded and lifted the sheet. Trinity gasped yet again.

Carlos had been shredded from head to toe, huge chunks missing out of his neck and limbs. His arms were severed more than the rest of him, showing that he had tried to defend himself. A few strands of grey hair clung to their spot on his scalp, and his face was covered in blood. What Trinity saw next made her stomach turn. The most disturbing thing about Carlos' death was not that he was severed all over, or that his face was open in a twisted scream. It was his eyes.they were gone. Completely removed from his face.scratched out by someone or something's nails or claws. They pulled the white sheet back over him and two men wheeled him away. The third man turned to face her.

"This ain't the first attack we've had like this, Missy. Over the weekend, there have been 6 other attacks on citizens. All of them with their eyes scratched out." he told her. She looked at him as if he were a creature from another planet, then opened her mouth.
"Really? That's.weird." she replied.
