A Darkness Comes

Oh Sam, how I miss life in the Shire
And to head back is my only desire
Right now we walk in the woods
Where the darkness will to change my mood
Our destination is Mordor
And we have never been there before
Oh Sam, I am so glad you are with me
Because your the only one who can see
That Gollum will betray us
And that we will lose his trust
Oh Sam, a darkness comes toward me
And I feel that I cannot see
The shadows are here
But you try not to fear
The Ring is calling him
And wants me to bring it to them
Oh Sam, how I miss the Hobbit hole
And this darkness chills my soul
Those nine that hunt me day and night
So I can no longer sleep tight
They will get the One Ring
And the Elves will no longer sing
Oh Sam, a darkness comes and it draws near
To where we are and hoofbeats I hear
The nine have found us and are coming
But you keep me safe somehow till morning
And on to Mordor we go now
Where the Dark Lord will make us bow
Oh Sam, a darkness comes for us all.
