Food Fight
Mandatory disclaimer: I don't own any of these characters. If I did, Red Beauty would be god damn canon already. I do, however, know how to make iced tea and pancakes. But that is kinda useless information.
"So, pancakes?" Ruby asked, as she rummaged through Belle's cupboards in an attempt to find an appropriate stirring bowl.
"And iced tea." Belle reminded her.
"Of course. Who could forget the iced tea?" Ruby grinned. "What her majesty wants, her majesty gets."
Belle matched the grin and pressed a small object into Ruby's hand.
Ruby looked down at it. "A chocolate?"
"It's your reward for not forgetting the iced tea."
"Are you trying to train me with chocolate?"
"Is it working?"
"Well, I can think of several things that would be more effective." Ruby smiled seductively and pulled Belle towards her, causing her to laugh.
"Ruby, you promised to teach me how to make pancakes."
Ruby released her. "And iced tea, right?"
"Right." Belle nodded.
Through Ruby's instructions, Belle successfully managed to mix the tea and create the pancake batter without incident. When it came to cooking the pancakes, however, a combination of Belle's natural clumsiness and an ill placed jug caused Ruby to be drenched with the tea.
"Ruby! I am so sorry."
Ruby looked at her annoyed and Belle tried frantically to clean her up with paper towel. A maniacal grin replaced the grimace when she saw the bowl of batter behind Belle. It did not go unnoticed.
"No. Ruby, it was an accident!"
The pleas fell on deaf ears. The bowl landed on Belle's head with a satisfying squish.
"RUBY!" Belle said, trying unsuccessfully to hide her laughter.
"Now we're even." Ruby teased.
Belle was having none of that though. In one swift motion, she took the bowl off of her head and kissed Ruby, succeeding in smearing the batter over her in the process.
"So much for pancakes." Belle said when they finally parted.
"I don't know. I think they turned out alright." Ruby said, licking her lips. "Although iced tea is no substitute to syrup."
"Funny you should mention that." Belle said as she tipped the syrup over Ruby's head.
