Innocent

Eyes of blue stare into the night
As the enemy approaches
You were always innocent
Thats the way you have always looked
Even right now, with rain kissing your face
You were innocent when you first served
The Lord and Lady of Lothlorien
Maybe you should have stayed
Where you can protect the innocent
But the Elves are leaving so you might
As well stay and protect the innocent here
Why must you suffer with the losses of your comrades
Who gaze up at you with stares of death
You were innocent when the darkness arrived
And surprise lit you beautiful face
When you saw that you would be defeated
By the numerous monsters that you fought
Attacked you from behind and pain fell upon
Your innocent face and you knew you wouldn't last
A friendly voice calls you name and rushes to you aide
But by the time he arrives he is too late
Your eyes stared up to the sky
Too bad there were no stars
To give their last goodbye
You were innocent at least to me
And you died and with tears we cried
Live on and go to another place where darkness
Doesn't lie so that you will be safe
And you will remain innocent
