Home for Christmas spoiler: A Merry Little
Christmas.
"Mac wait." Harmon Rabb called out. He gently stepped out of Mattie's embrace and with his arm around her closed the distance to Mac. He let go of Mattie and took the few remaining steps to Mac. Mac was standing with her arms down at her sides and her eyes downcast. Harm reached out with his ungloved hand and gently touched her cheek. Mac looked up at Harm's touch and he looked into her depthless dark eyes.
"Don't go. Stay with us. Please Sarah. Please stay." Harm pleaded with her.
"Harm.I .I" Mac said her voice just above a whisper.
She was tingling from his touch on her face and she stared into his ocean colored eyes as Harm gently pressed his lips to hers. Their eyes closed as their mouths moved with each other and as the kissed deepen the sweet soft warmth of it soothed their battered hearts. When they broke apart she knew why he had been so angry when he thought that she wouldn't help him at the hearing for Mattie. She knew why he had given up everything to go to Paraguay. She knew as sure as she was standing here why. Harmon Rabb loves her, that's why. As much as she loves him. She opened her mouth to tell him this but what came out was.
"Why Harm? Why should I stay?"
WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!!! A voice screamed in her head. Hasn't he done enough for you! Mac felt ashamed that after all that Harm has done for her that she had to hear the words. The same words that her father said to the mother after he stopped hitting her. The same words that she never said to Chris or John or Dalton or Mic or Clay. Maybe that's why she had to have them.
Harm hesitated for a second, After all why should he be the first to say it. After all hadn't he done enough? But maybe the words of Ms. LeMoyne came back "It's OK to say love" or maybe it was his father's presents or maybe Harm loved her so much that gave him the strength. Whatever the source the words came.
"I love you and I can't live a life that you are not the center of." Harm said.
"Oh Harm I love you!" Mac sobbed as she threw her arms around him, holding him as tightly as she can.
"I'm sorry Sarah for what I said to you at your home and in court." Harm said but Mac quickly stopped him.
"No Harm, I'm sorry! I've been horrible to you since even before Paraguay! I'm sorry and I'll make it all up to you." Mac told him.
"Just let me love you. That's all I want." Harm said as he holds her in a loving embrace. Then remembering Mattie Harm opened their embrace and reached out to Mattie. Mac seeing what he was doing did the same. Mattie ran to them and was envelop by them she was crying as she hugging them back. Just an hour ago she thought that she had no one her life. Now not only did she get one parent, maybe she has gotten two.
"Lets go home." Harm told them and they parted but Harm kept his arms around their shoulders and Mac put an arm around his waist and together they went home.
