To Be A Ring Bearer

To be a ring bearer is to be alone
I know that I will never be alone though
Because Sam will always be there for me
Dear Sam, my loyal friend,
I must go alone to Mordor
There is nothing left for you to do
Or for the others to do that can help me
My heart cries out but I won't turn back
I will go there and hopefully come back again
To be a ring bearer is to be alone
The Fellowship will be fine for they have each other
And here I have none, but its to keep you away from harm
I must go to Mordor where the shadows lie and get rid
Of this cursed gold ring that is trying to corrupt me
I can no longer return to the Shire
Not until this is done and over with
I must carry this burden alone
So please Sam, don't follow me
