A/N: OK, It's not as short as Tree but its short! I thought of this forever ago, I just never got around to writing it, any way! This is a journal entry thingy-ma-jig of the…I don't know…its something about the theory behind bloodbending an anonymous student asks his anonymous teacher (for lack of names).
"Master"
"Yes?"
The young waterbender shifted around before speaking, "I have a, um, a question about bending." The old teacher merely nodded for him to continue. "Well, um," the student began, "if our bodies are mostly water, then could a very, very, super good waterbender control people?" The master raised an eyebrow; either in interest or disgust, the man's emotions were sometimes hard to distinguish.
"Master?"
"Oh, um, yes. Yes, I suppose a very, very, very good bender could control human life."
"I think they can." The boy smiled, but his mentor still wore a stern face.
"I do believe that this may be possible, but it must take so much concentration it would be impossible to use to an effective state. A tiny slip or distraction could mar and mangle both the bender and the, um, bended." The student simply nodded as he tried to sift through the sentence for words he understood.
"I'm gonna try one day, Master, one day when I'm the greatest bender out of the entire world!" The boy said. The master's face lightened, yet he had an uneasy feeling.
The old master, know in a very old age stared into the crowd. 'What are they gathering around?' he thought as he pushed his way through the group of students and adults alike. As he made his way through he found a soldier, thankfully one of the Water Tribes own. "What's going on here?" The soldier sighed to the old man's inquiry and then pointed to a boy in blue lying on the ground. The waterbending master sighed also, like the soldier, in sympathy. "He was a student from years ago. I think I know what happened." The master said. The soldier bowed his head. "He lost…" but the retired teacher finished the sentence, "…control."
