Day 1-Got assigned to Tunstall and Goodwin. Tunstall seems nice, Goodwin V. Scary. Pounce followed me. I may have to kill that cat. Visited Tansy with them. Remarkably, did not get in trouble for knowing Tansy. This Shadow Snake that killed Rolond seems to be a nasty fellow. Tansy V. sad about Rolond. I tried to comfort her. Don't think I was very helpful. She gave me a pretty rock. Called it cursed. Oh, well. 'Tis sparkly nonetheless.
Helped break up a brawl. Goodwin was about to bet on it when a cart broke. I was told to stand by, but some idiot had a great big knife. I whacked his wrist with my baton. 'Twas fun. However, Goodwin lectured me afterward. Oh, well.
We went to the Mantel & Pullet afterward. Saw a skinny, pale rusher there. I think he's new. I'd remember seeing someone like that. He had two mots with him, a big blond and a brunette my size. The cove had lots of knives. I like knives. Otterkin said the rock Tansy gave me was just a pretty rock. Not even worth money. Oh well, will make a nice decoration.
Afterward, we found a pickpocket. I was sent to fetch. The foist's lookout tripped me. I went straight into a fish stall.
