I was in a StarscreamXSkyfire mood. I prefer pairing Starscream with Skyfire in G1 because I find how opposite their personalities are to be kind of adorable in a way.

This may be a bit OOC but it popped into my head randomly while listening to Bokutachi no Chikyuu from Shugo Chara. I have no idea what the words are in english but it made this pop onto my head. Hope you all enjoy.

Wait For Me

Starscream avoided the battle. It's not why he was here. He flew high enough above it so he wouldn't be noticed. He knew he was here, he just didn't know where. The seeker scanned the battle field and a bit beyond it.

There it was, just outside of the battlefield. He immediately flew in the direction it was in. But something wasn't right. If he was getting closer, why was it fading? This only motivated Starscream to go faster. He picked up speed until he came to a cave behind a rock formation. Out of the way enough no one would have found it.

Landing outside, Starscream slowly stepped inside only to freeze at the sight that greeted him.

Skyfire leaned back against the wall of the cave, clutching one of the many open wounds that were bleeding energon. His optics were closed and the only hint to the fact he was still alive being the fact he wasn't grey and he kept wincing if he tried to move. Their planned meeting had been found out, and Skyfire was attacked. But it was impossible to tell by who.

Snapping out of it, Starscream ran over to him, turning his head to look at him. "Skyfire.."

Skyfire's optics opened at the sound of Starscream's voice, "Starscream? I'm sorry, we were found out." He closes his optics again, letting his head fall back a bit.

Starscream grabbed a hold of Skyfire's shoulders and shook him a bit, "Don't you dare go offline. Don't….not now."

Skyfire lifted his head to look at Starscream and lifted a hand to cup his cheek, wincing again from the movement, "It's okay, we got to patch things up and that's all I could have asked for, knowing we could start over."

Starscream tried to say something, but he couldn't. They managed to start over and keep it a secret from both sides. But someone found out and now it was about to end. He didn't want it to, it was too soon, he'd be alone again.

He was pulled from his thoughts when Skyfire pulled him down into a kiss. It was short and only lasted as long as Skyfire's strength held out before he seemed to fall limp. Starscream found his voice at the last minute.

"Don't go.."

Skyfire gave a weak smile, "I love you, Starscream."

And that was it…Skyfire was gone as his colors faded to grey.

Starscream just stared before lowering his head so that there foreheads were touching. He wouldn't accept this…he needed Skyfire. His mind made up, he whispered.

"Wait for me…"

Taking one on Skyfire's hands in his own, he aimed at his own chest with his nullray, closed his optics, and fired. Now they're together. Nothing can separate them.
