Okay, so I decided to start writing with small drabbles. This ignores the 02 epilogue and Sora and Matt have broken up in this. This is written for the what-if: What if Matt taught Mimi how to play the guitar? There is no sexual intimacy, but the pairing is strongly hinted. It is also written for the Pairing Diversity Boot Camp with the prompt 'control'.

"How do you manage to move your fingers across the strings so gracefully?"

Mimi Tachikawa watched in awe as the blond Ishida's fingers moved up and down the strings of the guitar. The music that came from the instrument sounded so amazing when Matt played it. When Mimi had attempted to try playing it, the music that came sounded like that of a cat dying. Granted, she hadn't been as bad as Tai was where the poor cat was just begging to be killed, but still.

Matt's fingers reached out, fingers intertwining with Mimi's hand and clasping it in his own. "It takes a certain amount of control between your fingers and the strings of the guitar." A small smile came over Matt's lips. "Here, I'll show you."

Matt still holding Mimi's hand guided her to gently brush her fingertips down on the brush of the guitar. "See? It isn't that hard. Here, I'll let go now."

Mimi had felt a sudden warmth fill her hands when Matt had taken them and it seemed when he was helping her everything was so much easier. When he let it go however and told her to try it, it made her hesitate but she attempted to follow his lead. Well, that was a bit better than before.

"See?" Matt said. His blue eyes were twinkling. "You're getting there."

Mimi pouted. "It's still not that good, Matt. Even Sora can play it better than me!" She suddenly felt Matt's warm arms wrap around her smaller body and pulling it against her chest. Her cheeks turned slightly pink at his words.

"You're not Sora," was all Matt replied with, kissing Mimi on the side of her forehead.

Mimi buried her head in Matt's shoulder. From her perfect boyfriend, those three words meant more to her than anything in the world. This time, she intertwined her fingers with Matt's, leaning closer into her arms. This was a place she could remain forever.
