A/N: Just a drabble-ish thing I wrote for a friend. I liked it enough to post it on here. I hope you enjoy!

The Thought that Counts

"This is lovely, Sokka," Suki said with a wide smile. After carefully inspecting the object in her hands, she glanced up at him with a quizzical look. "Um, what is this, again?"

"It's a hat," he insisted. "I know you don't have a lot of winter clothes, so I figured I'd make you something. And look--" Grin nearly splitting his face, he pulled out another deformed hat. "--we'll match and everything!"

Despite the lack of quality, they had a certain charm to them. And she couldn't deny that adorable look in his eyes. After putting her hat on (it was a snug fit, but it managed to go over her head), she reached out and fit his right above his ears. "Would you look at that. We do match, don't we?"

The Kyoshi warrior leaned in and rubbed her nose gently against his. "My handy man, you'll make a fine housewife someday."

Needless to say, Sokka was a mite upset at that comment (but he got over it).
