summary: Roxie is just a rebel Soldier who is a close friend of Han and Leia at the time of the hoth attack and the battle of Endor… She always had a crush on Han Solo but thought he never noticed her except as a lonely kid that hung around with him. Finally one day she discovers that her assumption may not have been true. Han Solo/OC character romance

It was cold and Roxie didn't want to wake up this morning… but like everyone else in the central she had to. She fixed her hair, pulled on her white snow uniform and boots, and then made the trek down to the mess hall. There she saw a few of her friends Wedge, Wes and winter she waved and told them she'd join them in a moment. Roxie walked over and got in line but she never guessed who was in front of her until she accidentally bumped into him because of Luke. "Oh Morning Roxie sleep well?" She heard the familiar voice say as he turned to her. "Oh yes captain solo I'm so sorry for bumping into you but somebody pushed me" Roxie answered glaring at Luke. "It's ok Roxie can't be any worse than bumping into that ice princess when she's in a hurry" Han Chuckled walking through the line. She blushed as she walked behind getting her breakfast then she walked back to her table where she joined her friends.
"Roxie what was that all about?" Wedge asked her as she sat down. Roxie just turned red and tried to hide. "You like Captain Solo don't you?" Wes asked and Roxie nodded. "Please don't tell anyone he wouldn't talk to me again if he found I had a crush on him" she whispered. "I promise I won't and the other won't either!" Wedge said elbowing Luke and Wes. "Agreed" they both pleaded in unison.
Later that same day Roxie gathered with Han, Leia, Luke, Wedge, Wes, and many other commandoes in the conference room. Roxie sat near Luke then noticed Han Sat next to her and across from Leia. "Alright today our mission is to put these sensors around the base so that we can detect imperials instantly and evacuate" Mon mothma explained. "Captain Solo you and Commander Skywalker have been chosen to place these sensors using Taun-Tauns" General rieekan stated looking at the two men. "Yes sir" Han replied with Luke in unison. "Alright you know the plan now let's move out" Leia said as everyone exited the conference room.
"Be careful Han I heat there's real monsters out there" Roxie said waving to her friend. "Don't worry about me kid I'll be alright just pray for the other kid over here" Han said light heartedly jerking a thumb over at Luke. "Hey I resent that!" Luke laughed. "Of course you do Kid now come on let's get going" Han said giving Luke a noogie. As the two men walked to the Taun-Taun hanger Roxie felt a tear drop onto her cheek she just hoped they would both be ok….
