Who Am I?

Flying
Higher, Faster than any bird, the Falcon soars
And I, her Captain, Daryl Estragon
Swear to be the First
To touch the Stars
I wave to my sometimes Rival, sometimes Lover
Setzer, I promise to be back before sunset
To meet you on our Hill,
to tell you that our goal has been achieved.
That the stars are Ours
I push the Falcon to her limits
My precious airship, flying faster, higher
Than ever before!
I see the clouds below me,
I feel the wind tickle my face,
I hear the low hiss of helium escaping.
No! I've gone too high, flown too fast!
I'm going to Crash!
I've pushed the Falcon too hard.
Her balloon couldn't take the sudden changes in air pressure
So it failed, and I'm falling
So far from my home.
Setzer, I'm sorry.
The Falcon dives into an unfamiliar sea.
I'm thrown off, so I swim to an unknown shore
As she sinks beneath the waves.
My airship, gone to a watery grave.
How could I have been so foolish,
To put her through such stress?
Now I witness her death
I stumble onto the desert beach
Each grain of sand
A lost hope, in my hand
How will I ever return to him
Now that my wings are clipped,
And I'm trapped on this forsaken shore?
I shiver as the wind touches me
No longer a tickle, now a harsh blow
How can I go on?
My Love, so far away,
My airship, gone.
Suddenly it appears
A beast, 50 feet long or more,
A cavernous mouth, deep black skin
It opens its maw, there's a great wind
And Darkness swallows me in
Who am I?
What is this place?
And why can't I remember...
My head...
It hurts.
My memory...
Has been ripped from me
Who am I?
