Chapter one, dirt nap

Every where in the world there is someone is scared and hurt by someone they have loved in their lifetime. Take Gabriella for example. A simple, smart girl who loved the boy next door. Troy, a basketball playing air. She knew that, and he knew that. "Gabriella, hey come over." He called from the backyard of his house. He had been playing hoops, and she was going to the library to study.

"Hey, hottie. What's up?" She came over to him all perky and with smiles. Like a puppy greeting it's owner. She scratched her . "So, what are you doing this week end?" Troy bounced his ball up and down trying to impress her.

But, failed in more ways than one. "Nothing. Why did you want to ask me out?" She smiled. Troy just looked at her like mindless dope. A typical teenage boy." I, um, no. I mean." He was befuddled with word to say. "Um, just wanted to know if you wanted to see a movie." He quickly said.

" As friends." He's a smooth talker as you can see. " Right as friends." Gabriella said. She turned and walked away. Troy did too. He stepped inside his warm house hold to see his mother cooking dinner. "Hey, what's for dinner?"

The air smelled of chicken and pasta. "Let me guess. Pasta?" She nodded and returned to the stove. Troy sat down at the table to look at the magazines that were laying there .He looked and looked till he saw a picture of a girl that looked like Gabriella.

He gazed into her eyes. Remembering everything they've been through. "Push me higher Troy!" The memory of them on the playground, which is now torn down, was the only date he could think of with her.

He loved her. But couldn't think of what to say to her. It's always hard to say the right words when your in love. He tried so many times but would be interrupted by basketball or his dad.

"Honey, is something troubling you?" His mother came over to him. Troy stood. "No, mom. I'm fine." Troy was also a bad liar. Looking down he thought to himself, If theirs someone I can go to it's mom.

"Actually, mom there is. It's Gabriella." His mom sat down in nervous way. 'What happened?" His mother rubbed her head as though waiting to her about a grandchild. "I don't know what to say to her." Troy's mother stood in fear and anger. "Why? Sweetheart." She placed her bonny fingers on his shoulder. "I don't know how to tell her. I love her."

Troy told her about all the good times they had together. " Well, you should just say what you fell. Ok?" She sent off out the door. "But before you go dear. Um, no grand kids right?" Troy shook his head in a very puzzled way. "Damn." She whispered

Troy hurried down the street hoping to catch Gabriella . "Hey, Gabriella!!" He turned her head to see him down the hill of the street. "Hey, what are you doing?" She yelled down to him. Troy couldn't hear. So, he kept running. Til, he stopped. "LOOK OUT!"

A truck was coming towards her. Gabriella screamed at the top of her lungs. He ran to her but, it was to late. The truck hit her and swerved into the lawn of the neighbor .
