Her eyes –which were once always so hollow and dull- sparkled like emeralds in the moon lit night. "How did I not notice them before?" He thought to himself; suddenly mesmerized by them.
The smile upon her face was also...new and enchanting to him. It transformed her, opened her, revealing a side of her he never knew existed.
"And….wait….did she just laugh?" He thought incredulously. He'd never heard her laugh before, but it was the sweetest music he'd ever heard.
He grinned like an idiot as he watched her. For the first time since they'd met, she looked…..happy; like she didn't have a care in the world. He found himself wanting to see more of her in this state, but he knew that tomorrow she would lock this part of herself away again as if it never existed.
