"Right, Martha Jones where would you like to go? Mars, the planet of Dorkus, Earth, wherever you name we shall go!"
"Barcelona!"
The Doctor immediately falls silent, and the grin disappears. In just that one second he looks like he's aged centuries.
"Who told you about Barcelona?". He sounds hoarse and sad.
"It was in a diary I found"
"Who's?" His voice sounding tight.
"A girl named Rose, she said it was a fantastic place. I was just wondering if you could take me as well?"
"Why did you read her diary?"
"I was bored!"
The Doctor looks angry. "Please may I have it?"
"Who was she?"
"A companion, please may I have the diary!"
"Okay, okay don't get your knickers in a twist" I hand the diary over to him, my heart aches for him. He just seems so sad, and lost. Then suddenly it hits me.
"You cared about her, didn't you?"
"Yes, a little"
That was the biggest lie I had ever heard.
"What happened?"
"It doesn't matter!"
"Yes it does"
"I lost her, end of story"
"Did she die"
To this the Doctor gave a harsh laugh. "No she didn't die, thank god. I don't know what I would of done if that happened"
"Where is she?"
"What does it matter, she's in a place were I will never reach her"
"Don't say never, because I have a strange feeling you will"
"Yeah, I'm sure I will" the doctor replies sarcastically
"Was that her" I ask pointing towards a picture of a pretty blonde girl. Although she did have quite a bit of fake tan on, or it might have been natural…..mmmh yeah right.
"Yes" he replies softly, and looking at the picture longingly.
"She's pretty!"
"Yes, she was"
"Do you want to stop talking about her now?"
"Yes please"
He turned quickly, but I didn't miss a single tear sliding down his face.
My heart went out for him, we would find this Rose Tyler, we would! I had to make the Doctor happy. I had to find out more about her, what she liked, how did she get into the doctor's heart, and more importantly where she was.
Rose Tyler prepared to be found.
