Just a small, small spin-off of Sebastian's background story on the BioWare forums. Reader be warned : this is a short, dusty drabble. Abc = line taken from the actual shortstory. Atleast, I think it is.
The Starkhaven prince gazed intently on the giant, brass handle attached to the Chantry door. He was truly determined this time. He would accept his fate that was ultimately bound by the Maker and His Bride. Once he opened those doors, Sebastian could never go back.
Useless, aimless, selfish, alone.
Those words floated aimlessly in his mind. Those words described the Vael prince before his commitment to Andraste. Sebastian never truly realised how disgusting his previous actions were until this fateful night. He felt uncleansed, dirtied by Sin. But, as soon as he opened those doors, the Maker would bathe him in salvation, and cleanse him from Sin's grasp. Sebastian's hand twitched ever-so-slightly as he tightly grasped the handle. He made his desicion.
Slowly, time stopped as the Starkhaven noble pushed open the heavy-weight doors that led to the Maker's residence. A soft, warm glow of the lowly-lit candles welcomed him as inscense burned, smoke tendrils mixing with the moon's radiant light. He knew he wouldn't regret this. He proudly entered the Chantry, but not from the back doors.
But from the front.
Short, drabbly, about Sebastian...I think this piece is my best friend. XD
