Author's Note: I wrote this a couple years ago for my English class. Its three separate poems that intertwine with each other. I've been meaning to put it up for a while so here it is now. I hope you enjoy and review :)
Jem
I'm dying and it's all too soon
It's been only six years since that fateful day
When Yanluo attacked my family
And took everything away
My mother and father
My health and my home
I'm now since in London
Feeling so alone
Then I met one who helps me along
Now comes another
Who has stolen my heart
So I have to find a way
To beat this demon poison
To live on with my dear ones
My Will and my Tessa
Tessa
Gone are my mother and father
My aunt and my home
Only my brother remains
Now I'm in London
Where my whole life has changed
I'm not what I was
And never will be again
I feel so alone and I'm being hunted
Seeking protection in the Shadowhunter Institute
I've made some new friends
Who help ease the pain
My comfort and rock
I've discovered in Jem
And the one who has stolen my heart
The loveable pain we call Will
Will
My family, my home
I've left it all behind
I can never return
After the terrible thing I've done
I'm off to London now
To join the Shadowhunters
I've met a friend here in Jem
But how can I let him in
I must keep him away
From my dark, dark past
Then along comes Tessa
And I can feel my heart opening up
But I must lock it all away
To protect this precious jewel
From what I've done wrong
