Dance
A Queer as Folk Fanfic.
"I'm leaving you to your wicked ways. Go find a stud, ask him to dance."
.
He didn't expect Brian to come home every night and act like his spouse. It had been nice while it had lasted, but Justin wasn't so naïve as to think that Brian would always want him around. So after a long day of Pride, Justin was heading home, leaving Brian to his wicked ways. He didn't mind, really.
He left Brian at the bar, staring at a stud on a couch, who was making bedroom eyes back at him.
Liberty Avenue was just starting to get really chilly, but Justin pulled his jacket tighter around him, a defensive mechanism he had started ever since his release from the hospital. He smiled at the people mingling in the street. People laughed, talked and kissed. Despite earlier protests, he loved Pride. He loved the way everyone was so open and unforgiving. It was a special thing to be in this huge community of supporters.
But everyone else didn't really matter. All he really wanted was Brian. But he convinced himself that to keep Brian he would have to give him some space.
At least, that's what he thought before the hand on his shoulder spun him around, and pulled him into muscular arms that were so very familiar. And God, the look in those piercing eyes. The breath left his body. Even when he tried to let Brian go, he kept on choosing to come back.
Maybe that was a sign.
.
"Hey stud. You wanna dance? I promise you won't forget this one."
A/N: Another little QAF ficlet that popped into my head. I know it's short, but it is what it is. Hope you like and please let me know if you do. I am considering making a drabble for all of the profound moments, or just my favorite moments in the series, since that seems to be what I'm doing anyways.
Reviews are lovely. And if there is a particular scene that you would like a drabble about, let me know. I'm currently rewatching season two, so I can do anything before that. Anything after that I'll have to wait and rewatch because I don't remember little details from when I first watched it. But I can do anything.
Thanks for reading!
