The minute I walked in the door from school my mom and dad were fighting. They weren't getting along lately. So my older brother had been taking care of me and our little sister Ivory. Alex was the only one who had always been there for us. He would do anything for us. This time it was my turn to do something for him.
So I had started to save up money from my job, birthdays, since I was 14. So all three of us could get away from this place. Together I had about a thousand dollars. Everything would be ok. I had already called our mom best friend sue who lived in Lapush. She said it would be ok for us to live with her in till we could get our own place.
Alex knew the plan and so did Ivory. We would finally be free of this piece of shit house. All the bags were packed and loaded in Alex's truck. Once dad had left to go to a bar with his friends. And as soon as mom was pasted out drunk, we would sneak out. Alex's told me that we would always be there for each other.
"You ready to go." Alex said as he pop his head in my door way. "Yea I'll meet you and Ivory in the car.""All right." He said while leaving. I went under my bed to grab the box with all my keep sakes in it. It also held all our money. I grabbed my back pack and hoped out the window. With our Sheppard Buttercup right behind me. She hoped in the back seat with Ivory while I sat in the front with Alex.
"We are free." I yelled as we drove out of hearing range.
"Where are we going?" Ivory asked sleepily. That was the one part we did not tell her. "Were going to live with Aunt Sue. That is in till we can get our own place." Alex answered her. We had a long ways to go.
