The annoying repetition of the alarm clock woke Zoe Carter up at 8 in the morning from a restful sleep, and the weirdest dream. She laughed, it couldn't be true. Come on Zoe get a hold of yourself, I mean come on you dating someone with glasses and kind of looks nerdy? What was the boy's name again? Oh yeah Fargo.

Without thinking she said the name out loud, "Fargo." She smiled; she liked how the name slid from her mouth like it was meant to be there. Stretching she climbed sleepily out of bed and stumbled to her closet taking her pajamas off on the way. She tugged on a pink shirt and frowned. Weird images from her dream kept creeping back into her head. The house had been talking and had, had a name. She shook her head, why did it matter what the houses name was, it was a dream!

She frowned deeper, but the dream somehow was getting to her. Then she remembered her father had been there. Frustrated with herself she brushed off the lone tear that had escaped from her eyes.

"It was a dream, it was all a dream." She pulled on a pair of jeans and started brushing her hair.

With a sigh she set down the brush. "Who am I kidding," she thought with distaste. "I liked the world in my dream last night a whole lot better than the life I'm actually living." She smiled. "I even had a boyfriend. Fargo"

Shaking her head from her foolish thoughts she suddenly got a brilliant, yet crazy idea. Grabbing a book bag she stuffed some change of clothes in and then grabbed her wallet. With a quick glance around the room she gave a satisfied grin.

Slinging the book bag over one shoulder she left her room and paused at the door. With a deep breath she stepped out then called out to her mother. "I'm going over to Julie's house!" Then without waiting for a reply she thundered down the front steps and out the front door with one word on her mind. Freedom!

Almost with a happy bounce to her step she walked down the street. An hour or two later all the thoughts of the dream were long gone and Zoe was hungry. Stopping in a restaurant she bought a burger and just as she finished it she saw a cute guy walk in from a very hot red sports car. Being quite daring she walked up to him.

"Hey, you headed out of town?" She asked him casually.

His eyes took a quick scan over her before he replied. "Yeah I am, why?"

She smiled, "Oh I just need a ride out of town."

He grinned back, "Sure, I can give you a ride."

"Thanks."

The two went outside after he finished his meal and got in the car.

Julie saw Zoe and recognized the rebellious look in her eyes and sighed. She started walking towards the car when the engine started and in barely anytime it was gone. Julie took a mental picture of what the car looked like and pulled out her cell phone.

A few hours later a siren was heard behind a red sports car on the highway. The two cars pulled off to the side of the road and the boy leaned out the window. "Look man, I don't know what you pulled me over for, I haven't done anything."

Jack Carter barely even looked at the kid. Leaning down to the window he looked in. "Zoe, get out of the car, now." Zoe scowled but opened the car door and climbed out.

"You can leave now." Jack Carter said to the kid, "I only pulled you over for her."

Zoe fake smiled and slammed the car door. As soon as she did the car took leaving a dust cloud. The boy wasn't waiting around for the officer to change his mind.

Zoe scowled again and followed Jack Carter to his jeep, and we all know where the story goes from there.
