As his hand touched her shoulder, he felt his heart skip a beat.

All of a sudden, time seemed to stop and his mind went dark.

"Wha-what's this?"

Then, suddenly, images starting flashing through his head. Rather rapidly. They all contained the same people. Then there was that song. The song he couldn't get out of his head. The song Kanade always hummed.

"Wait," Otonashi thought to himself. "Kanade? Kanade! I remember! This girl in front of him, could she be Kanade's reincarnation? I remembered everything when I touched her... What if she didn't remember me? What if it wasn't even her? What if she was completely different?"

Then he snapped back into reality.

She stopped. He could feel his heart racing. The few seconds it took for her to stop and turn seemed like an eternity.

She turned to face him but her face was hidden under her hat.

"Kanade?" He trembled with emotion as he muttered her name.

Then she looked up at him. She looked at him with those golden eyes and he knew it was her. The same Kanade he fell in love with.

Her eyes widened and her mouth opened slightly, he could see tears forming in her eyes.

"Otonashi..?" She muttered his name and looked as if she were going to cry.

All of a sudden she fell towards him and wrapped her arms around him, burying her face in his chest.

Shocked, he just stood there like an idiot.

"I.. I actually found her..," he thought to himself. "Maybe... Maybe there is a God."

Overcome with joy he burst into tears and tightly embraced Kanade.

"Kanade, Kanade I love you, I love you so much." He was now sobbing, unaware that they were still in the middle of a crowded sidewalk.

"And I love you, Otonashi," said Kanade, brightly smiling up at him with tears blurring her vision.

Neither of them realized how long they were standing there, for time didn't matter then.

Breaking the silence, Kanade giggled, "Otonashi, let's go somewhere.. that's not in the middle of the sidewalk."

"Oh right, stupid me." he said, rubbing the back of his neck in embarrassment.

"You're not stupid."

"Wha?"

"I said you're not stupid. Cute, but not stupid."

"C-cute?"

His face was now completely red.

"Yup," said Kanade cheerfully.

He just smiled.

"Come on, let's go somewhere quieter."
