A/N: Sorry it's a day late, and you might read this on Christmas Eve. But I was busy yesterday with MY LAST DAY OF SCHOOL! So this came out of nowhere and was very fun to write! Have a Merry Christmas to all!
Mistletoe
Twas' the night before Fishmas,
Probably around six,
Oscar Fishtooth had himself in a fix.
For his friend Bea was coming over tonight.
And for Oscar, she was surely a sight.
Although Oscar had fear take over his life all the time,
And it's empathized so much, I'm not gonna rhyme!
They were going to the park together
The Festival of Lights,
But Oscar's stomach showed this feeling is not alright.
The door made a bang,
And the door made a dong.
Oscar's heartbeats were going so wrong
He opened the door sweat rolling down his face,
For the pressure in his heart was starting a race.
"Hey Oscar," Bea said with a smile in her place,
"Oscar, is that a blush on your face?"
…
The car followed the trail looking at many Christmas lights,
Bea looked at all the amazing sounds and sights.
Oscar did not look outside; his eyes found a different gaze,
His eyes led to Bea and then many which ways.
Oscar felt a grip in his fin, and it was pretty cold,
It was Bea holding his hand in a very gentle hold.
…
The fish swan in, a quarter till nine.
Expectations for the fish were very fine.
"Milo's asleep," Bea putting a hand on his shoulder. "So we better be quiet."
But Oscar has already flushed a deep shade of violet.
But better yet yes, the blue fish was in his bed.
Visions of sugar plums break dancing in his head.
"He can't wait for Santa Claus to come tonight."
Oscar chuckled with a moment of delight.
They looked up, sighting mistletoe.
Oscar felt like his heart was gonna explode.
Bea started to blush, but Oscar's was deeper.
He leaned in slowly, his knees getting steeper.
She pulled her lips gently closer to his,
Oscar was in shock his was kissing her sweet lips.
When they pulled away she smiled saying, "Oh, I get it now,"
"You've always liked me. How'd I not get it? How?"
Oscar was shocked, not knowing what to say.
Instead he said, "Well, that was an odd day."
If there were one thing he would never regret,
He would already know.
The first thing he'll put on the list
Will be Mistletoe.
