Hey everybody! It's Anju-Chan! This is the first story I have ever written for fanfiction, so I hope you like it! This first chapter is more of an Intro. The following chapters are where all the action happens.

I Love You Readers! ~ Anju

She did the same thing day after day. Sakura Haruno woke up at 6:00, did her make-up, got dressed, ate breakfast, said goodbye to her mom, and went to school. I wouldn't really say she had friends, more like 'acquaintances'. The only time she ever saw them was at lunch so she didn't have to eat alone. No sleepovers, no texting, no gossiping; just studying and homework. You see, Sakura was somewhat of a geek. Not in appearance at all, no no. She was actually quite gorgeous, but was more into studying than fashion.

When she came down the stairs after getting ready that morning, her mother was waiting for her.

"Sakura, can I talk to you for a minute?"

"Sure mom, what's on your mind?"

"Well, I've been a little worried about you. Ever since your father passed away, you haven't gone out with your friends. You don't participate in any after school activities anymore. You come home from school, lock yourself in your room, and do homework. Not that I'm complaining about your grades, you have always been bright. But as of lately, you just don't seem yourself."

"I'm fine mom. My friends have moved on. They're not the type to stick with you through thick and just keeps my mind off of everything."

"All I'm saying is that I'm worried. I really think you should go out on a limb and do something fun with your life. Just switch it up a little, I can't stand seeing you this way."

As she walked home from school that day, she saw a crowd of people and ambulances surrounding her house. She practically ran into the crowd to see what was happening when her grandmother grabbed her by the arm.

"Sakura, honey I'm so sorry. None of us expected this to happen to your mother."

"Grandma, what are you talking about? What's happened to my mother? Where is she?"

"Oh no. No one has called you? Your mom was in a terrible accident. She's in that ambulance there if you want to ride with the hospital with her."

Sakura jumped in the back of the ambulance her grandmother has pointed to just as it began to take off. As she sat down next to her mother, she noticed how pale she was. She knew she didn't have much time left with the woman who raised her. Seeing her mom was too weak to speak, she grabbed her hand and cried.

After her mother died, Sakura had two options: stay with her grandmother or move to a boarding school. Not wanting to burden her older relative, she decided to take option two. So here she stands in front of Konoha Boarding School.

As a silent tear slid down her face, she said, "Well, here goes nothing."

Taking a suitcase in each hand, she walked down the sidewalk towards her new life.
