Disclaimer: Do not own X-Characters…

Authors note- I, as I'm sure, many authors are annoyed with flames and the FLAMERS that send them, whom are too much a bunch of chicken shits not to sign in or give their emails. Here's a short little fiction dedicated to their stupidity.

~Flame Me Off~
Afternoon- X-Mansion
Kitty Pryde sat on her bed, in her room. In her lap her precious was, reading away. A disgusted look covered her face, but she kept on reading.

Unknown to her, her roommate, Rogue, walks inside the room. Intent on changing into her X-Men uniform without being drawn into a conversation with Kitty. To her surprise, Kitty was too involved with her laptop to speak. Curious, Rogue did what she thought she'd never do, start a conversation with Kitty.

"Kitty, are you ready for this afternoon's session?" she asked, pulling her boot on, "it starts in five minutes."

No answer. Dumbfounded, Rogue filled the distance between her and Kitty. Standing next to Kitty she decided to try the conversation again. "What are you doing?"

"I'm, like, reading a story on fanfiction," she answered, then began typing on her laptop.

"Reading?" Rogue gestured towards the keyboard.

"Now I'm, like, reviewing the story."

Rogue took a glance at the screen. 'This is the worst possible thing I have ever read,' anonymous review.

Confused, Rogue looked at her roommate. "If you didn't like it then why did you read it? On top of that, why spend more time reviewing it?"

"I dunno," Kitty muttered.

"Okay, first you spend, how much time reading the story."

"Half an hour," Kitty answered.

"Half an hour reading a story you don't like. Then you spend more time thinking of a review to write then type it. If that's not possibly the most pointless part, you don't sign in and give the author a chance to understand why you didn't like the fiction?"

"So, like, what's your point?" Kitty asked, looking up from her laptop.

"My point!? Why are you wasting your time?" Rogue demanded.

"I suppose it's because I, myself, cannot write. So, I read other fictions, usually ones I don't like and flame them. It makes me feel better about myself to criticize other people's stories instead of giving constructive criticism. I spend countless hours reading and flaming others works, so I can feel better about my insecurities," Kitty answered, smiling.

"Then why don't you sign in?" Rogue asks.

"Well, if I'm an anonymous reviewer I can write all I want to about their story without them knowing its me. Then, if they review my writing they will be nice and HELPFUL in their reviews to make my story better," Kitty said, submitting her anonymous review.

"I waste MY time talking to her," Rogue mutters, as she departs. Disgusted by Kitty's ignorance.

Kitty clicks on another story…'Flame Me Off'.

"Hum…," she mumbles, as she begins to read.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Why write this and waste MY time? Simple, I wanted to vent. I'm tired of stupid, ignorant people thinking their clever, when it's obvious their not!

To all flamers: This is what authors think of you! I hope you are offended…though I'm being nice in my fiction about what I really think of FLAMERS…
