Jack muttered under his breath as he pushed his way through the crowd. Daniel followed closely behind him, darting into the openings Jack created before the natives moved back.

"Jack would you slow down?"

"No can do, Daniel," Jack called over his shoulder. "I told Carter and Teal'c we'd meet them back at camp at 1400."

"We've still got-" Daniel looked down at his watch. "Oh."

"Yeah, Daniel, oh."

Several of the native men glared at them, muttered angrily about the strangers interrupting their sacred ceremony. Their strange chatter stopped the chief's words from being heard and their pushing separated couples, forcing them to drop hands. Jack sighed and held a hand down to the fallen archaeologist.

"Thanks, Jack." Daniel grasped Jack's hand and pulled himself to his feet.

Suddenly a huge cheer went up throughout the natives. Couples hugged and kissed each other gleefully. Jack looked other at Daniel, who still had an absent hold on his hand. A heavy weight settled in Jack's stomach. He had a bad feeling about this.

"Daniel, what the hell just happened?"

Daniel looked around at the celebrating natives. His brow furrowed as he mentally translated the conversations. Daniel's eyes widened as he caught a few familiar words.

"Well, it- ah-" Daniel swallowed hard. "Looks like we just got married, Jack."

"Ah, dammit!"
