This is something written on a high school lunch hour long ago. Probably sucks, but criticism is always helpful.

Disclamer: I do not own The Legend of Zelda.

You are the unsung hero,
Of days that never came.
Your deeds are long forgotten
By all but yourself.
Standing by a living tree
That, just days ago, was dead
You wonder if they will ever know
Just how close to destruction this world came.

Running past a certain guard,
Whose "child" is now maskless.
You walk past a cavern and remember,
A Goron who once called you "Brother".

You decide to go for a swim,
But avoid all the Zoras.
Laughing to yourself you think
That you are best left unwed.
The path home leads through a sacred grove.
Looking up at an ancient temple,
That reminds you of the time
When you gave chase to the Poe Sisters,
And were reunited with an old friend.

Looking up through the trees,
You catch sight of a mountain peak.
Where, only a few months ago,
The Great Lava Dragon, Volvagia,
Was slayed by your hand.

The next day while fishing at the lake
The Water Temple's entrance catches your eye
You think of your darker half
And wonder what became of him.

While visiting your mother's grave,
Your gaze turns to the temple of shadows,
And your mind goes to the surprise that found you ,
When the temple's sage was revealed as Impa.
The protector of the princess, Zelda.
"Yes," you think, "She must remember it too!"
You go to the castle, and see kids wearing Gerudo masks
They look just like Nabooru, Sage of Spirits.
Who you rescued from her fate as a Knuckle..

Finally, you manage to reach the castle,
Only to find all the entrances blocked,
Even the secret ones.

So, you reluctantly turn for home.
The next morning a small blue fairy,
Wakes you from your nightmare.

She says you must go to the Deku Tree
You sigh as you think "It all starts again."
Maybe this time you should stay in the future.
