A/N: Genji is in Sparrow form

They laid in their bed, Angela laying on Genji and held him tight as she slept. Genji, however, couldn't sleep. He loved the way she looked as she lost herself in her dreams. She smiled sweetly in her sleep and Genji just smiled at her. It was getting late, so Genji turned off the light. He laid back and wrapped his arms around her. As he did so, he felt her snuggle into and hold him tighter. He smiled to himself and closed his eyes, thankful to have Angela in his life.

There was a thought that caused his eyes to suddenly jolt open. He thought about the dangers in their lives and the fact that not every day is guaranteed. There were several missions that had the two separated across the globe, and every time, they both went out of their minds with worry. But even so, even past all the fighting and conflicts in their lives, they were still human. Humans were far from invincible. As humans, fate can come knocking at any moment. Genji was so afraid at this point, not of death, but of what would happen if he never woke in the morning. He would leave Angela alone.

After all the two had been through, all the trials they went through together, all they overcame together, all they gained together, what would she do without him? Did he do enough to prove to her that he loved her, or would she have her doubts? All the love he had for he had in his heart, would she have any question about it?

Genji's thought about all that he had lost in the past. He lost a great amount of friends in the past that he never told how much he appreciated them. He lost so many family members who he looked up to that he lost and he never told them how much they meant to him. The people in Overwatch who always admired for their bravery that he never to inspired him. Now he had the chill of regret that he never told them.

Not again.

There was no way he would leave Angela alone. He was going to go through every day and prove how much she means to him. He will spend everyday worshiping her. On the battlefield, he'll be at her side no matter what. When they are home, he will be at her every beck and call. He will never put himself in that circumstance where there's no second chance to tell her what's going on in his heart.

He promises as this point that if one day he's not there in the morning, she'll know how much she meant to him. She'll know that, despite all the women in the past he had, she was the only one he loved. The only one who he gave his heart and soul to. If his time was done, she'll have to go on knowing that he wasn't there. That was what he feared. She would be alone, she would face the world without him.

He asked himself...

"Was the love I gave her in the past going to be enough to last...if tomorrow never comes?"
