Chapter 1.

I was sitting by the barred window of my prison, when I heard a scuffle at the door. They were bringing me a prison mate. Yay. (Note the sarcasm).

Oh no. I had just seen who it was. My new prison mate was Artemis, the Goddess of the Moon. This meant that my jailers had officialy declared war in Olympus. This is very bad. They will use my as a way to get the Olympians to falter. You see, I am Lara, ex-Olympian, Goddess of Nature, Emotions and Fate. I am also host of Kronos and the PeaceKeeper of Earth, but the Olympians do not know that. My guess is that Kronos will use my powers to topple Olympus. Although I am a second generation Olympian, I am the most powerful because of my domains. The fact that Artemis is here is bad because that means the Olympians have lost one of their most powerful goddess.

The guards roughly shoved her inside the cell and shut the door. This is the first time they have shut the door since my arrival in the cell. This is because if i do try to escape, Kronos will just take control and force me back into my cell.

Once they had the door, I rushes to Artemis. She was just conscious even though she had obviously been though some torture. Her normally neat auburn hair was matted with golden ichor, the blood of the gods. Her face and limbs were littered with cuts and bruises. I shuttered, thinking of the things Kronos and his men could and would do to the forever maiden. I held my breath as I checked the back of her knee. There it was. The brand. I stared at it emotionlessly. The brand was a mark all prisoners here got to show that they were now Kronos' property. I still remember the day all those years ago when I got it.

A guard came to take me out of my cell. I went with them numbly, remembering what happened the last time I resisted. The guard took me back to the torture room. All the various torture chairs and instruments had been pushed carelessly to the side, with only a red hot iron brand sitting in a makeshift fire. I shivered guessing what they were about to do. I'd heard rumours from the other prisoners in the cells to either side and opposite me. The guard strapped me to a wall with my back facing him. He slowly lifted the brand out of the fire, enjoying seeing the expression of terror that i imagine to be on my face. Once he got to me, he lifted the brand and placed it on the back of my knee, pressing hard. I screamed and tried to squirm away but the bonds did their job well and held me in place. The guard cackled as he removed the iron from the back of my knee.

"Now you belong to Lord Kronos."

That day was one of the worst in my life, becoming the servant of my sworn enemy. Of course no day could beat the day i was banished from my home in the worst-day-of-my-life competition. Thanks for nothing, my no-good, bastard father.
