A/N: My third Furuba fic! And...my first focusing around the later happenings of the manga. :D Akito/Shigure is such canon, sweet, needy love...You have to admire it. :3 I love this pairing...I'd definitely fangirl it for life. XD

Please enjoy this, and drop me a review! This is a pointless drabble/one-shot...But still. It's fluff! ANY FLUFF IS GOOD AND HEALTHY, RIGHT:D

"Shigure!" she called out, during the thick-silenced night, piercing the air and ringing in his ears. "Shigure, don't leave me!"

It was too much for his now heavy-weighted mind, and he leaned over, embracing his God gently as she thrashed during the frightful bouts of her nightmarish sleep. "Akito..." he murmur soothingly, entangling his fingers in her hair. "Shh...It's just a dream. I'm right here. I'm not going anywhere."

Once she began to awaken, she gazed up at him while trembling, her eyes large and vulnerable. "Do you promise?" she asked in a soft whisper. "Please, Shigure...You have to promise me!"

He smiled slightly, cooing, "I won't ever leave you. You're my goddess, aren't you?" Confidence leaked into her gaze, and she nodded.

"You can't leave me," she said, almost cockily. "Because you love me, right?"

He ignored the ego-filled flair to the remark, and nodded. "Because I love you," he confirmed softly.

And her strength was restored, she was completely revitalized as she embraced him back, resting her head on his chest. "I love you too, my little dog."

"'Little'?" Shigure cocked an eyebrow, then chuckled. "I wouldn't exactly classify myself as 'little', my dear."

Akito gazed up at him, with a loving tenderness that few people ever received from her. Then, she lowered her head, and pressed her lips to his jaw.

Yes, spending the rest of his life devoted to such a strange, enigmatic woman was quite a bumpy, mentally-trying road...But if he could just see her gaze at him with that same lovingness, everything about it would become worthwhile.

Besides, he enjoyed being her lap-dog.
