CHAPTER I
"Hurry up, I can't hold much longer". Sweat was dripping from Umi's forehead. She kept pushing the door back with all her strength.
"Wait a little longer!" Nico replied. Her hands slightly shaked while rummaging through a box. "Got it!" Nico lifted two bats and stood up.
She moved in front of the doors Umi was holding. Placing one bat down, she firmly gripped the other one.
"Ready?" Umi asked.
She took a deep breath. "Ready". She swung the bat as soon as the door opened, smashing zombie's head.
Observing the lifeless body, Umi picked the bat up and wiped her sweat-glistening forehead. Nico walked up to the window. Brain-dead creatures were running around; chasing other students. The screams were filling her ears. She sighed, "This feels so surreal." She turned around to look at Umi.
"I wonder what caused this" said Umi while tapping something on her phone. "No signal" she murmured placing the phone back into her pocket. From the amount of bodies lying around, Umi could have guessed this has been going on for a while. The music room must have blocked out the sounds from outside.
