AN: So… this story is basically "Our Lives in Song", but Hetalia style. I'll hit shuffle on my iPod, and write a mini song ficlet to whichever song comes up.
Disclaimer: DISCLAIMED! I own neither Hetalia nor any songs I use.
Song used: Irrational Anthem by The Plain White T's
Genre: Humor
Character(s): America
"Let's start by tackling the issue of global warming. I know that's a hot topic right now, but I think we can keep it in check if we create a giant hero to protect the planet. By the way, nobody is allowed to disagree with me." I finished talking and looked out on the sea of countries before me, not really caring what any of them would say about my plan because really, the hero's opinion is the only one that matters. I was, however, hoping they'd comment on my drawing of the hero protecting the earth, because I worked really hard on that and I thought it looked really great and displayed an edgy, creative, pop art style, the kind someone could learn in New York.
No one commented on my picture though. I guess it's because it was so incredible that no one even needed to validate its awesomeness. Their minds were all blown though. I was still kind of disappointed that no one said anything, and so maybe after the meeting I might have been, like, doing something that kinda looked like pouting, because, ya know, heroes don't pout. But I guess I must have looked like I was putting because England got mad at me and told me to stop acting like a child.
Which kind of made me miss the days when I could act like a kid.
I remember when I was younger, and I wanted so badly to grow up, to be independent. I was so naïve back then, striving for a "grown-up life". But now I just kind of miss being young. When I was a kid I could live a carefree life, not tethered by the problems adults have to face. But now I have so much work to do, so many responsibilities. I need to be mature now, and I no longer have time to be a child.
HAHAHAHAHA! Dude, I bet I like totally got you! You totally fell for it right? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, work! Responsibilities? That was total crap, I can act like a kid whenever I want! In fact, right now I'm having a water balloon fight with tony, who, if you didn't know, is totally my alien friend! And later we're going to pull an all-nighter and play video games! It's gonna be off the hook!
Mature! Now that's funny!
