Hey everyone! KLoveMe here. I think this story is pretty good. If you do, too, or, if you don't, please tell me in your reviews!
Oneshot.
Searching. I was searching.
My fingers clawed the rain-soaked ground, mindlessly seeking for him. I was too far gone to even consider what I was doing. I just knew I had to find him.
I never wanted to stop searching, and only would when I found him. Or died.
Whichever occured first.
Then I was shaken awake by my half-sister, as I had to get up.
He was coming today.
I brushed out my long, dark hair, perfecting it for him. Swiped my lips with chapstick, for him. Blinked at myself in the mirror, getting myself ready for him. Preparing myself to see him again.
"Ship coming in!"
I was jolted out of my daydream. I quickly composed myself and jogged across the grounds towards the group of people watching a large, golden ship fly closer and closer.
Teenagers. Teenagers were aboard it.
One of them, I knew, would be him.
Excitment welled up inside me. I almost let out a squeal of delight.
But I forced the joy back down and put on a neutral expression. The others could not see me lose control.
The ship anchored above us, and people descended from it.
I caught my breath as the last of them set foot on our ground.
Was he here?
Would he come to me?
Somehow I knew that he would.
My eyes nervously scanned the crowd. As far as I could tell, there were four teenagers and one faun.
I searched for a blonde one.
With stormy blue eyes.
And a smile that brightened my day whenever I saw it.
Then I saw him.
He approached me, a small, nervous smile on his face. He forced his way through the crowd, until he was in front of me.
Then I saw... her.
A gril with choppy, dark brown hair with small braids down the side. Kaleidascope eyes. Medium-colored skin.
And her hand was held tightly in his.
It was like my world was a black pit. I was suddenly tumbling down, down, down, with nothing to stop me.
I heard his voice, echoing in my head from past memories. 'Hey, you.' ''I'll protect you.' 'You're my best friend.' His laugh. His smile.
Everything I loved.
All gone.
Because of those two hands, wrapped together.
So tight I feared one of them would break off.
But yet I forced a smile on my face. "Hey, Jason. Welcome back to camp."
I couldn't let him know how I felt.
How broken I really was.
