Hello everyone this is my first Major Payne story enjoy...
Its 10:30 PM and Payne had finished tucking tiger in, but just after he turned off the light...
Tiger - "Payne."
Payne - "Wut boy?"
Tiger - "I can't sleep."
Payne - "You won't me to tell you nother bedtime story?"
Tiger shook his head in fear and desperation.
Payne - "Lemme tell yu nother story."
With that Payne went and nelt down beside Tiger's bed and turned on the lamp.
Payne's POV
Payne - "The year was 1991, I was stationed in Pakistan but my platoon was sent into the desert to protect a stronghold from invading radicals. A sand storm was rollin in so we couldn't see two feet in front of our faces, next thing ya know... BOOM!"
Payne - "Our Humvee was struck by a tank projectile and it launched us 10 feet in the air until it landed upside down then... ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE! I was caught in a crossfire, so I crawled on my belly until my helmet struck something metal. I stood up and saw that I was staring down the barrel of an Iraqi T-72. I reacted swiftly and climbed on top of it opened the hatch then lobbed a grenade inside. I had to radio for help, because I noticed I was the only one left. *static* 'This is Sgt. Payne of Delta squadron we've been ambushed and I need air support'."
Night Hawk 2-1 - *static* "Sgt. Payne, this is Night Hawk 2-1 responding to your distress call... sorry Payne the visibility in your area is very low you're going to have to wait until I can get a better visual over an out."
Payne - "With that I had no other alternative but to stand my ground, so I quickly ran over to a disabled Humvee and got on its Ma Deuce. DIE PIGS! THE ONLY WAY YOU TAKIN SGT. MAJOR BENSON WINIFRED PAYNE FROM HERE IS IN A BODY BAG!"
Alex, Mrs. Walburn, and everyone else stood in the door frame with terrified looks on their faces as they stared at the distraught veteran hiding behind a toppled over chair with a broom on his shoulder.
But none were as terrified as Tiger...
