The grass was damp beneath his feet. He didn't mind much because all he could think of was what was waiting for him on the opposite end of the meadow. The expanse seemed endless, and yet he kept running. The two people he longed for the most had finally made their reappearance into his life. A grin spread across his face as the wind tumbled through his blue hair. Teddy couldn't help himself as he launched himself at his parents.
His body was soon greeted by the cold embrace of the ground. A glance upwards revealed that the people that were there previously had dissipated into the air. The sky soon filled with clouds, the tone made ominous as the sun hid from humanity. Teddy stood, the darkness seeming to close in around him. No sooner than he noticed this did he realize that the shadows were comprised of dementors. Teddy reached, but couldn't get a grip on his wand, his fingers slipping along the surface. He could feel himself getting weaker. Teddy's eyes shut as he sunk to his knees.
Cold, slimy sweat coated the Gryffindor's body. His hands slid over his face as he released a breath he couldn't remember taking. Teddy knew he wouldn't be able to fall back asleep. Not after that dream. There was only one place he could think of that would ease his mind. Of course, he would run the risk ofgetting caught out of bed after curfew, seeing as it was two in the morning, but this was no time to be sensible. Teddy gathered up his blankets and made his way into the halls of Hogwarts.
No more than five minutes later, Teddy had found a way into Ravenclaw tower. He crept into the dim light of the common room and up the stairs, taking a path he knew all too well. He wasn't worried about his inevitable discovery the next morning. The ladies of Ravenclaw were all too used to his presence, and he was grateful for how understanding they were. Teddy set up his temporary bed near one Ravenclaw in particular. He had finally settled down when noticed pair of blue eyes peering over the edge of the bed at him.
"Another nightmare?" The voice was soft and sweet, sleep still evident in its tone. Victoire had become good at soothing Teddy on nights like this, although she wished it wasn't so commonplace. It distressed her almost as much as it did the Gryffindor. A hand reached down to Teddy, fingers running through his hair gently. He responded with a slight nod, not wanting to worry his girlfriend too much. Her hand slipped away. The sound of sheets ruffling caused him to sit up straight. "C'mere." The blonde instructed, gesturing to the half of her bed she had vacated just for Teddy.
Teddy hesitated before finally taking his place next to Victoire. She said nothing, choosing instead to snuggle into Teddy's form. The Gryffindor's arms wrapped around her lithe frame, his lips pressing to the top of her head, his eyes slipping shut. It didn't take long for sleep to take over, the fog slowly seeping into their minds. When he woke up, a smile was spread across Teddy's face. His mind was at rest, all thanks to the blonde in his arms.
