Agony

The rain is falling.
It was cold. It was numbing.
She didn't care.
Many people would find her a juvenile fool, standing alone in the rain.
But not today. Not right now.
There's nothing but the rain
No footsteps on the ground
I'm listening but there's no sound.
They lost another one.
She was useless again this time.
The rain was falling hard.
As fast as it fell against the ground, still, it passed through deaf ears.
All were heard were the clang of metals, the creak of trees, the drops of blood and the cries of agony.
In an instant, they were ambushed.
"Damn it, we have to escape." he told her.
"Do you hear me?"
He grabbed her wrist.
She escaped.
She was too stubborn to listen.
Too proud to obey.
In an instant, he paid the price.
He died protecting her.
Protecting her because she was too weak.
Too weak to fight.
Too weak to move.
Too weak to think.
Too weak to move on.
She could take them all. She knew.
Blinded by pride, she never thought at all.
One by one, the enemy closed around her.
Fatigue was clearly seen in her eyes.
Her stamina decreasing as each second passes.
Still, she stood on her ground, head high.
Metal against metal, there never seems an end into this.
She learned her lesson.
She remembered so well.
Because it's the same time today.
When the sky was mourning.
When the sun was grey.
Where everything just seemed out of place.
"Run." He whispered, his breath hitching
"No, not without you. I- I can't leave you behind." She whispers in a soft voice, tears running freely down her cheeks. "You of all people should know that."
"Forgive me…" she murmurs.
He smiles.
His hand cupped her cheek, before his head lolled to the ground.
For a moment, it seems that… they were the only ones around…
She cried.
He was a friend.
A good friend.
A best friend.
But maybe more than just a friend.
It was too late to realize it now anyway.

The rain is falling.
As you can see, i only used pronouns.. don't know why anyway xD but I'm sure you can picture it D: if you don't like the pairing, so... at least you can think of it as someone else.
