"Sir, can you hear me?" A groan escaped my lips instantly, a sharp pain going from my foot all the way up to my hip. My head hurt, I was pinned. Stuck. Panic hit instantly in that moment and I began gasping for air.

"You've been in a car accident, I need you to stay still." Unable to speak, I did what was instructed. Last thing I remembered was the sound of metal being ripped apart before I passed out.

"Baby, are you okay?" Her voice in that moment, brought me back down to reality. What seemed like an endless sleep was now over. Pain was inevitable, the beeping of machines around me became clear. Squinting really hard, I was finally able to opening my eyes. Seeing her there brought a smile to my face even though it hurt.

"Where am I? How long was I asleep?" Looking around the room I immediately knew where I was, the now cast on my leg was an indication of what recently happened. A car accident.

"Shhhh, just relax." Her hand brushed through my hair, a tear running down her cheek as she continued to speak. "You've been out of it for just over twenty four hours. You were in a car accident, doctors said you were intoxicated?" It was more a question than accusation, memory's of that night began flooding my brain.

"I stopped at the bar, had a few beers and some Jack..." My voice trailed off, frowning the moment I saw the hurt and pain in her eyes. I'd never meant for this to happen. I knew my drinking was heavy, but I never thought any of this would happen. Last thing I wanted was to hurt myself, her or anyone else.

"I can't do this anymore. The drinking has gotten out of hand. I've changed, I've given up my addiction. Whether you want to admit it or not, you have an addiction to alcohol." Shaking her head, she reached for my hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. "You've got to make a choice. It's me or the alcohol.

"I choose you. Consider the drinking done. Not another sip, I promise." Without a second thought, I'd made my choice. Alcohol was nothing compared to what I had with her. I'd spent my whole life trying to have what I have now with her. "I love you. You are my happiness."

"I'm so glad you said that.I love you, so so much!" Tears flowed freely down her cheeks, her arms moving to wrap my in a hug. My arm wrapped around hers in return, trying to adjust I instantly winced, she pain in my leg becoming more unbearable by the moment. "I'm sorry, Buzz." Shaking my head I hugged her tighter, trying to ignore the pain. My leg was broken, I knew that would take time to heal. Having my Dollie in my arms reassured me that no matter, we would get through this and anything else that could tear us apart.
