DESPAIR
Summary: Chaos. Confusion. Denial. Tears. Anguish. Despair.

POV: Hermione
Pairing: Cedric/Hermione
Chaos. I couldn't tell what was happening. It all went by so fast. I couldn't hear myself think. The only thing keeping me sane was Ron's arm around my shoulders. He managed to lead me to the platform where Harry and Cedric were. I only saw him. In his yellow and black Hufflepuff colors. His eyes, usually joyful and kind, were now empty and misty.
Confusion. I had no idea why his eyes were like this. I leaned over him, patting his arm. "Wake up Love. I'm here." Ron and Harry didn't quite understand. They looked at me oddly but I ignored them. "Come on Ced, I'm scared now." This usually made him hold me. But he didn't move. I frowned.
Denial. "He's not dead," I told them. They looked at me with shocked gazes. I looked at them, confused. I looked to Harry, hoping he could explain it to them… "Look, I know he seems to be hurt, but he's ok." He has to be. I know he wouldn't leave me. He promised.
Tears. They rolled down my face because even Harry was looking at me with pity now. "What?!" I yelled, "What's wrong?!" They looked away. I looked down at Ced. "Why won't they answer me, Love?" He smiled at me. "See! He smiled!" I shout. Poppy looked at me, worried. She felt my forehead, then ran a diagnostic spell. "Poppy, tend Cedric! He needs you, I'm fine if he's fine."
Anguish. They took him away from me. I screamed and shouted and threatened to kick whomever was unlucky enough to have the task of handling me. I was destroyed. Why would the take him from me? He needed me. No one else understood. I cried even more. I had failed him.
Despair. They took me to St. Mungo's, to the ward for the mentally instable. Neville's parents are here. They still wont let me see Cedric. I cry every night, and every morning I beg Harry and Ron to let me see Cedric. Its always the same. They look at each other, then at me. They both kiss my forehead and promise to get Cedric. Soon. They lie.
