"Meet me in my office as soon as you can get over here."

Hermione stared down at the note in her hand and a scowl came over her face. She really wished he would stop sending her pointless notes telling her to report to his office. It wasn't like there was anything important he had to say. He just always came up with the most random things he could think of to occupy her time. Besides, he didn't even have an office.

Grumbling under her breath, Hermione picked herself up and pulled herself away from the important documents requiring her attention. Walking a short distance to the next room over to the desk hidden in an alcove in the very back of the room, Hermione wondered exactly what Draco was going to come up with to say today.

She stopped in front of the annoying blonde and sat down in the seat facing him. "Yes?"

Draco pulled up his head from the files he was buried in and looked at her.

"I'm not very happy." This was new. It seemed like he wasn't going to cite a quote from some old play like the last time.

"Okay…why?"

"My job sucks."

"What do you want me to do about it? You shouldn't whine. Working is a religious experience, you know"

"It's not if everyone gives me all their work to do. It's not if your boss treats you like you are going to get up and scream 'LIVE ON EVIL' at any moment."

"So what do you want me to do about it?"

"I'm not done complaining. My entire life sucks."

"…"

"Why aren't you saying something? You should be making this better for me."

"You have yet to tell me why your life sucks."

"My love life."

Hermione burst out laughing. "Your love life? Of all the reasons that is probably the most ridiculous."

Draco clenched his jaw and didn't speak.

"You know what I think?" After a moment of Draco's silence, Hermione went on, "I think that those who are unhappy are those who do not know what they want." Hermione, intending to get up and leave with that heavy statement, got up from her seat and prepared to head back to her work.

Draco wordlessly got up and walked over, blocking her path. "I beg to differ. You see, I am unhappy because I know exactly what I want." He leaned forward and kissed her.
