Story Rating: K

Authors Note: Silly, sappy stuff. If romance makes you gag, I suggest you don't read this. It's random and childish, but I really wanted to write this. If you don't turn away in disgust at the shortness of this, and actually decide to read it, try and guess whose point of view it is. It shouldn't be too hard.

"As long as you're smiling, Sakura, I'll never be sad."

Since the day I met you, Sakura, I have always admired you. You wear your emotions on your sleeve, but when you're sad, you try your hardest not to let anyone worry. You help everyone, you see the best in everyone. You are willing to give even the most stubborn, closed people a chance.

You laugh when you're happy, and you cry when you're sad, but I've never seen you give up. You would give away every last thing you owned to help your friends, and they would do the same for you, because you are a shinning beacon of light, you draw love to you like moths to a flame.

You are pure, you are good, you are light.

I have always loved you, and always will. You smile at me as you tug me by the hand, and I smile back, but inside I'm breaking.

What I said was true, your happiness is my happiness. I just can't help wishing for something more…

Sakura, I see you growing into a more beautiful young woman every day. I smile at you, with tears in my heart. Because your heart belongs to another, and I can't do anything about it.

But Sakura, I meant what I said. If that's what makes you happy, I understand. If I have no place in your future, I can accept that.

"As long as you're smiling, Sakura, I'll never be sad."

Yes, it's silly and sappy.

Did you guess who it was?

Tomoyo. Or Madison, as the American version called her. Ugh. Translate it, sure, but who the hell changes all the names in an anime in the process? (Yep, I'm one of those annoying people who compulsively watch stuff in Japanese, even if the English is better quality. So sue me.)
