A/N: Hehe, this is the first story that I've ever posted, so I apologize for any mistakes and my not-so-good Japanese. All reviews, flames included, are welcome. Thanks! Oh ya, Shippo and Rin's uniforms are based after the uniforms in DNAngel. Links are on my profile.
I do not own Shippo, Rin, or any other characters from Inuyasha. Only the ice cream in my freezer.

"Owww…"
Shippo looked up from his homework to see a petite girl sitting on the ground rubbing her head, a few books scattered on the floor around her. She was completely oblivious to the handful of people in the library staring at her as she picked herself off the ground and attempted to put the heavy volumes back on the shelf just above her reach.
For some reason he felt drawn to her; maybe it was the way her face became intensely serious as she focused on the task before her, just like his adoptive mother Kagome.
With a sigh he stood and walked up behind her, easily lifting the book the last few inches she had been having trouble with. She spun around with a gasp and looked up at him, surprised to see someone standing so close to her.
Her warm brown eyes gazed into his green ones for a few moments before a blush skittered across her cheeks and nose. Shippo turned away when he felt a blush threatening to rise to his own face, and bent to pick up a book. The two quickly finished cleaning up and stood next to each other uncertainly.
"A-Arigato, for the help." She chirped when she regained her composer somewhat.
"Um, no problem." He replied as he stuffed his hands into the pockets of his school uniform's slacks.
An uncomfortable silence stretched between them and Shippo was tempted to turn and flee back to his table. In desperation he said the first thing that came to his mind.
"I'm Shippo, by the way."
"Nice to meet you Shippo. I'm Rin." She chirped, thankful to get over the silence. "Would you like to go out for ice cream? My treat; to thank you for helping me."
Shippo was appalled to feel heat rising to his cheeks as Rin smiled sweetly at him. For a moment he couldn't find his voice, but he finally managed to crack out a faint. "Sure."
The two parted for a minute while Shippo had gathered his things and Rin checked out her book, and re-met at the library's exit. Soon they were off towards the ice cream shop down the street.
A/N: Ok well, please review and tell me if you think I should continue this story. I know this chapter is really, really short, but I don't want to continue it if no one wants to read it. T.T So please, please review. Oh, and also, if you think I should continue it, I'm taking suggestions on the story line, 'cause I don't have it all planned out yet.
