I don't own YYH n.n If I did I'd be married to the woman who did Sailor Moon... xD
A/N: This is Mukuro. And Hiei. Just in case, because there are no names used here ;)
Queen of Saba
Like some sort of queen of an imaginary oriental land, she sits amongst veils and silks, cushions and fabrics of vaporous feel, and lets in a crowd of dancing servants into her chambers.
The sound of an instrument that looks like a citar, and one that sounds like a shrill flute, rise to the ceiling interwined with blue smokes and exotic scents.
It is not that much she asks, she reasons, this only, in exchange for peace in those unholy lands, and a strong, wise reign. Not that much.
Only this.
And when the music stops, trails with food, delicacys that need hours and days of preparation. They come one after the other, and those youkais who bring them walk as if they were dancing. It truly is something worth witnessing, and she knows she will only pick as much as one or two of those appetizing dishes.
He can have his share, of course, but he has never been a great eater.
She looks carefully at each thing she is being served, and notices with satisfaction that they have, for once, included humans in the menu. She has always honored the treaty, humans are only edible as long as they fall into her lands and the shock causes them death. So every now and then that happens; and if the unfortunate mortal soul is male or a kid, then the youkai who finds it can feast on it, but if the human in question is a woman, that changes.
She can be selective and she is indeed. Well, they do say young mortal women are good for keeping the skin soft and tender. And so she chooses the roasted heart she is being offered, and the grated fingers too. She knows she is sweet-toothed. She has her way sometimes.
He doesn't wholeheartedly agree with those antics of hers, but he knows it's because he's spent way too much time among humans, and so he pushes every thought concerning that aside.
He can't complain, he thinks. It's not like it harms anyone, and at least he's invited.
I know it's odd! It just... popped into my head, out of the blue. Maybe I'll write a continuation.
Review, ok? It IS what keeps me writing, after all :D
