She lay there, still, asleep, and almost dead-looking with her extremely pale, almost Snow White-like skin. The only thing that made it look as if she were alive were her pink cheeks, warm and beckoning you to kiss them, and her everyday pout in its natural shade of bright scarlet that were tempting and sweet…
Her hair was a golden-platinum… shone silver in the dim, sleepy, gray moonlight that poured through the half open window that sent a strange chill in all around the room.
She wore a frown upon her face, as she was clutched under his arms, and she pulled her arms over his in a hug-like way, which spoke for her, "He is mine. Go away…"
Little, seemingly-fragile, is Natalya, held in the arms of her elder brother…
He didn't seem to mind… He too, lay still and with a smile on his lips as well as on his eyes. He was, in a way, happy.
His hair brushed against hers, almost as if they meant them to be tangled till they couldn't be separated. He planted a kiss on her forehead every now and again, and she wouldn't mind at all- in fact, she always meant it to be this way.
He pulled the blanket up more, covering her bare shoulders, left uncovered by her white, sleeveless, cotton gown. "It's cold now, da." He said to her in a low, loving voice.
She nodded, eyes shut and she pulled closer and hugged tighter… "Ivan…"
He didn't mind the rudeness of it all, her addressing him as only 'Ivan' instead of big brother.
He leaned over to give her a short, tiny, loving kiss right on her red-rose lips.
To him, this was nothing, it meant nothing at all, but a tiny, brother-sister kiss… No more, no less. To her, it symbolized that they were now together. It meant to her…
They were married.
"Hmm. It's already daytime, da?" Ivan said, his deep-violet eyes fluttered open.
Natalya wasn't there.
"It must be a dream, da…"
"No… It's not…" I voice from under the blankets said… "It's me, Brother." Natalya gave him a devilish, smug snicker, the darkness under the blanket made it almost seem like the smile of the devil.
"Wha-What? You mean…"
"Yes…"
Natalya found her way into her brothers arms, but instead of backing up, he allowed his arms to fold over her, in a brotherly embrace, accompanied by a kiss on the forehead. She pulled closer to his face, and kissed his nose.
"We… Are… Married…"
