This is my first fanfic so I hope you like it! I wrote it for English showing how racial injustices can effect people.
Ninja :D
Anri and Mikado were horrified at what happened that day. They weren't really surprised about what happened. They just didn't expect it to be so harsh.
Their friend, Celty, was different. She came from a different background. Rather than being Japanese, like everyone else, she was Irish. Normally being Irish wouldn't be a problem, but in their district, Ikebukuro, it's a whole other story. Everyone was either Japanese or avoided. Celty, after a lot of hard work, was able to find friends. Anri and Mikado didn't care that she was different, she was a nice person. No-one else looked at her long enough to notice.
Mikado and Anri usually walked with her on the way to school, but today, their year level was visiting a museum. She was in the year above them, year 11, so she was walking alone. Technically, she wasn't alone. She was being followed. As she turned a corner, she saw who was following her. A group of people in her school. To be more specific, a gang. They called themselves the "Gold Bandannas" because that was what they wore. They seemed to bring it upon themselves to 'punish' those who were different.
The Gold Bandannas had generally left Celty alone because she was always around Anri and Mikado, who always stuck up for her. Now was different, now she was alone. They were able to approach without any interference. She barely noticed when they started to walk faster and catch up to her. The only thing she noticed was the moment when the pole made contact with her head. Black mixed with red rushed into her vision. She didn't even remember hitting the ground.
She woke up two days later in the Ikebukuro General Hospital with three stitches on her head and multiple bruises on her arms and legs. She looked around the hospital room and saw Mikado. He explained that she was found by a passing stranger named Shinra who called an ambulance. Other than the gash on her head and the bruises, she was fine. She would be back to school in a week and all of the Gold Bandannas were expelled.
Celty eventually formed a group in her school for people who were different. These people could become friends with other people without worrying about other people judging them. If people don't judge each other, it's easier to accept them and befriend them.
I know it was short but we had a 300 word limit. Please review!
