I'll Come Home to You

This was inspired by a scene in the TM episode Z. This is the second time I've tried to post this. I hope it works.

No spoilers but this rather trite poem was inspired by a scene from the TM episode "Z."

I'll Come Home to You

Wherever this life leads me,

No matter where I go,

From beyond the last frontier,

I'll come home to you.

No cage will ever hold me,

No foe will ever stop me.

No matter where I'm taken,

I'll come back to you.

You know that I would die for you,

But more than that, I'll live for you.

No matter where life takes me,

I'll come home to you.

It's the family that loves me,

That strengthens me to win.

So no matter what the hardship,

I'll come back to you.

I know the grief I'd cause you,

If I should ever fail.

So no matter what may happen,

I'll come home to you.

Author's note: "Romeo and Juliet" type tragedies may seem romantic, but struggling to overcome obstacles and survive to return to those who love you means more. Tenchi wouldn't want anyone he loves to go through what he did when his mother died.
