Hayley and Draco:
Draco sat at the Slytherin table, completely uninterested by anything that either students or teachers had to say about the recent activities of Hogwarts. He was both tired and bored, why should he have to endure all the empty gossip and meaningless lectures? He looked around the Great Hall, not looking for anything in particular, when he saw her. She sat on the opposite side of the table to him, but a few spaces down. Her long, flowing, blonde hair framed her face and brought out the blue in her eyes. She sat silently listening to the endless chatter around her. She turned occasionally to mouth words to a girl on the Hufflepuff table, someone he knew to be a bright, fun loving girl called Jesse, who was sitting next to Cedric Digory. Draco knew for a fact they were dating, and he longed for a relationship as strong as theirs. He tried not to make himself look obvious but he watched her as she laughed, she had the most adorable laugh, and chattered among the other Slytherins. As the Great Hall started to empty, she got up and headed straight for Jesse and Cedric, they must be best friends or something. Draco instantly started to admire her, her ability not to pre-judge. They left the Great Hall, not looking back but chattering amongst them. Draco exited the Great Hall later on, with Crabbe and Goyle.
Draco searched for the girl the next day, but he never seemed to see her without the others. So instead of going straight to her, her headed in search for Jesse. He knew he had Defence Against the Dark Arts with her, he would ask her then. They weren't friends, but he hoped she would understand.
"Hey, who's that girl you always walk around with?" He asked, trying to be casual about it.
"Why? What is it to you?" she replied with such sarcasm, it intimidated Draco slightly. He blushed at what he was about to say.
"I like her, but don't know how to start to talk to her" He looked around, to make sure nobody was listening.
"Well, Hayley won't just bow down before you at the words "I like you". Get to know her, start up a conversation, show your good side. Be careful though, she tells me everything. You mess her around, I'll smash your head into that wall so hard your father will fell it!" God! This girl was scarier than he was, but she said it with a tone of humour in her voice. Hopefully it'll all be fine.
Later that day, Draco sat opposite Hayley, hoping his chance to talk to her will come around at this point. They started eating the feast when Draco spotted his opportunity.
"Enjoying the feast?" He directed it at Hayley.
"Yeah, it's so yummy. I think my belly it about to explode." She laughed with him at the impossibility of the statement.
They carried on the night, getting to know each other and laughing. When the night was ending, Hayley left the hall as usual with her best friends, but this time they were joined by Draco. Cedric was suspicious, but was cool with it. Hayley and Draco walked back to the common room together, and stayed up late, joking around and becoming friends. He was falling in love with her with every minute they spent together.
When the morning came, he beamed at the morning, greeting it gladly knowing that he would be with Hayley again.
Their first lesson was Potions, so they went together. As they walked they got closer together until they were holding hands, fingers intertwined. He loved her bubbly personality, her smile and her kind ways. She never put anybody down, and she defended her friends. You could confine in Hayley for a lot of things, especially for advice. As they got to the potions room, Draco pulled Hayley aside. He looked her deep, blue eyes searching for the words he couldn't find.
"Hayley, I think… I'm in love with… You" Her beautiful face lit up with delight, she wasn't expecting those words to have come from his lips. She flew her arms around him, hoping to never let go. Ever.
Here you go Winterz, hope you like it :) ~Freddie
